New concert series: Up to Three / KUNI KOLM

Up to Three / KUNI KOLM is a new concert format, where musicians of the Ensemble for New Music Tallinn perform in small ensembles and where the works to be performed are for a maximum of three musicians.

The Up to Three concert format provides an opportunity to bring research and experiments from the workshops of musicians and composers to the stage. Creative groups of performers and composers test new ideas in joint work phases over a longer period of time, focusing on important themes and experiments in current projects of ensemble work. This research establishes a new kind of creative ground for testing interesting concepts and innovative works that are publicly presented and discussed.

The Up to Three concert format is intended for collaboration primarily for professional musicians and composers. At the same time, the Open Space concert series organized by the Ensemble for New Music Tallinn has an emphasis on education and students of contemporary music composition.
